Ashley Vertuno is a globally recognized healthcare executive and keynote speaker, known for delivering enterprise-wide transformation with strategic leadership, discipline, operational excellence, and cultural reinvention through a winning mindset rooted in her lifelong background as a competitive athlete. As CEO of HCA Florida JFK North Hospital since 2020, she has led the hospital through a dramatic turnaround—growing operating margin from 1.8% to 15.43% in under four years, driving a 37.1% EBITDA CAGR, and repositioning the facility as a leading community hospital recognized by Healthgrades as a Top 100 Hospital for Orthopedic and Spine Surgery, and Patient Safety Excellence in 2024 and 2025. Ashley’s leadership brand is built on vision, execution, and people. Ashley extends her impact globally as Engagement Officer for the YPO Global Healthcare Business Network, where she drives cross-industry collaboration and thought leadership across the world’s top executive leaders. She also serves on multiple boards including the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County, Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, and the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce, while mentoring emerging leaders across the U.S. healthcare landscape. Her accolades include the 2024 Robert S. Vamsee Potluri, FACHE, is Executive Medical Center Director at the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center, a level 1A tertiary care facility with six Community-Based Outpatient Clinics and a stand-alone Community Resource and Referral Center, which provides services and resources to unsheltered and at-risk Veterans. Mr. Potluri oversees health care operations and services for 139,346 enrolled Veterans residing in the District of Columbia and areas of Maryland and Northern Virginia. He leads 3,200 employees who are committed to providing Veterans with safe, quality health care. Formerly the Executive Medical Center Director of the Wilmington VA Medical Center in Delaware, Mr. Potluri was responsible for the daily operations and strategic planning for the facility which served Veterans in Delaware and South New Jersey. He previously served as Veteran Health Indiana's Associate Medical Center Director (AD) from 2020-2023 where he was responsible for Fiscal Service with an operating budget of $850M. Before his role as the AD, Mr. Potluri served in a number of VA leadership roles including: Chief of the Business Office/Patient Care Administrative Service at the VA Northeast Ohio Health Care System based in Cleveland and Executive Administrative Officer to the Associate Director for Finance, Ambulatory Care Operations Director- Group Practice Manager, Business Manager for the Ambulatory and Emergency Care Clinical Center, and Health System Specialist to the Chief of Staff for the VA Maryland Healthcare System. Mr. Potluri is a graduate of the University of Houston earning a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Biophysics and master’s degrees of Business Administration and Healthcare Administration from the University of Houston – Clear Lake in Houston, Texas. He is also a graduate of numerous VA Leadership programs and is board-certified in healthcare Management, a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Most recently, in March 2026, he was presented with the 2026 Robert S. Hudgens Memorial Award by the American College of Healthcare Executives, recognizing early careerists for outstanding achievements in healthcare management. Mr. Potluri is honored to serve Veterans and in his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends.
