Susan Lucak, M.D. is a gastroenterologist and attending physician at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. For the past fifteen years, her practice has focused on functional bowel disorders including irritable bowel syndrome, chronic abdominal pain, non-cardiac chest pain, chronic constipation, persistent nausea and vomiting, bloating, diarrhea, and fecal urgency.
Furthermore, she is a member of the International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders (IFFGD) and is actively involved in lobbying the Congress to provide research support for gastrointestinal disorders. Dr. Lucak educates both other physicians and patients on functional bowel disorders, particularly IBS. She has lectured widely in the United States and abroad.
