Is Being a Working Mom Really Worth It?

With long work hours and increasing costs for child care, how can you even afford to be a working mom?
And it continues... the continual have-it-all debate about career and family.

A lot of women leave corporate high-level careers; not due to their lack of ambition or talent, but because it doesn't seem feasible. With long work hours and increasing costs for child care, how can you even afford to be a working mom?

On the other hand, that same ambition and talent stimulated in a work environment creates fulfillment, pride and accomplishment. It gives women balance.

But this also raises some questions. What is the difference between working mothers and fathers? Do women tend to worry about family and balance more?

JD Bailey is an author, blogger and the creator of HonestMom.com. In this segment she shares the pros and cons of being a working mom, as well as why she feels it is really worth it.
