Host of The Wizard of Eyes, Dr. Robert Abel, welcomes guest Damion Carroll, National Director of Vision To Learn (VTL), who successfully identified all needy elementary students in Los Angeles and provided free eye examination and glasses.
Providing glasses for needy children not only boosts their overall morale, but also their GPA scores in math and reading.
This evidence-based, award-winning program has been successfully transplanted to Delaware with amazing results and will soon go National.

Damian Carroll's national director and manager of external relations for Vision to Learn, a nonprofit organization providing free eye exams and eyeglasses to schoolchildren in low income communities. As national director, Mr. Carroll is responsible for overseeing the expansion of the program to new states. He also coordinates fund-raising events, media, relationship building, policy advocacy and managing the organization.
