Distracted Walking Causes a Spike in ER Visits

An estimated 10 percent of pedestrian injuries that land in the ER are due to distracted walking.
A new report indicates that about 10 percent of pedestrian injuries that end up in the emergency department are due to distracted walking such as texting, or not paying attention while talking on your cell phone.
