Andria Ventura left a 13-year career in publishing in 1995 to work on a wide array of environmental issues for the New Jersey Environmental Federation, Clean Water Action's New Jersey chapter. Andria joined the California staff in May 2003, after a two-year hiatus in Hawaii working at the Oceanic Institute and volunteering her personal time at the Waikiki Zoo in the elephant section. As the Toxics Program manager Andria focuses on drinking water standards, cleanup of polluted surface waters, as well as chemical policy reform to stop the use of toxic chemicals in products and industrial processes as a way to keep them out of our water in the first place.
