Arlo Weltge, M.D., MPH, FACEP, is a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Medical School Houston. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Texas Medical School Houston. He was in private practice in Emergency Medicine in Houston for 10 years before joining the faculty of the UT Medical School and is faculty of the Emergency Medicine Residency program, which just celebrated its 20 year anniversary. He is Medical Director for the EMS Program at Houston Community College.
Dr. Weltge has also been Board Certified in Preventive Medicine/Occupational Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine. He is past Speaker of the American College of Emergency Physicians and past president of the Texas College of Emergency Physicians. He is active in the Harris County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association and the American Heart Association.
