Mindy Honey, MSN, RN | Amy Luzier-Barrett, MSN, MEd, RN
Mindy Honey is a nurse with more than 19 years of experience working in critical care, risk management/patient safety and grant management at Geisinger. She received her master’s degree from Western Governor’s University in Nursing Administration and Leadership in 2019. Mindy joined Geisinger School of Nursing in November 2022 as the lead program director (PI/PD) of program development for the CFPA HRSA grant.
Amy Luzier-Barrett is a registered nurse with 29 years of nursing experience in school health, ambulatory care, population health and med-surg, with more than 10 years of experience as an academic nurse educator. She earned her master’s degree in health education from Penn State Harrisburg and her master’s degree in nursing education from Mansfield University. Before becoming a School of Nursing faculty member, Amy provided clinical consulting in the areas of population health best practices, care gap closure, Epic EHR optimization, and participated in various research projects at Geisinger. Amy joined the Geisinger School of Nursing as a faculty member in June 2025.
