We recognize radiology as one of the most heavily-regulated parts of healthcare, but what most risk managers are unaware of is that there are areas within radiology - specifically MRI - where there are significant risks that are NOT managed by regulation, or CMS conditions of participation, or accreditation. This has been an area of risk / safety where both the identification of the risks and the strategies for effective management of those risks fall to the individual site.
