The deaf fashion model Nyle DiMarco and his professional partner Peta Murgatroyd danced their way to victory in this season's "Dancing With the Stars" by wowing the country and the judges with the way they moved together. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said that in all her seasons their freestyle performance was the best dance she'd seen.

And that's exactly what Chapman University researchers discovered when they got the results of their recent study, What Keeps Passion Alive? They examined almost 39,000 married or cohabiting heterosexual men (average age 46) and women (average age 40) who'd been together at least three years. Their findings include:
-Happy couples said that satisfying encounters were characterized as "passionate," "loving and tender" or "playful." And those satisfied couples were much more likely to cuddle and laugh together during sexual activity; more frequently said "I love you" during sex or sent a teasing text earlier in the day.
-Trying original choreography was strongly related to sexual satisfaction. Couples who enjoyed their relationship were more likely to try new sexual positions, take a shower or bath together, talk about or act out fantasies, give or receive a massage and make a date night to have sex.
So if you're looking to enjoy a winning partnership, aim for moves that can earn the kind of praise Nyle and Peta got from judge Bruno: "That was so special - do you realize how wonderful this is?"
