Introducing our New Podcast, Mindcast: Healthy Mind, Healthy Child
Gregory Fritz, MD: Hi, I'm Dr. Gregory Fritz, a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, from Bradley Hospital. Now more than ever, parents and caregivers have questions about their child's mental health. Every day we're asked is my teen depressed? What can I do about my preschooler's meltdowns? Is my child anxious? Is this normal?
Kids growing up today are impacted by their peers and their friends and social media in ways that we never were. As a result, as many as 40 to 50% of children are affected by a mental health disorder at some point in their childhood. And COVID-19 has only increased feelings of isolation, anxiety, and depression, in many of our young people.
At Bradley Hospital, our expert clinicians in Children's Mental Health, work with kids and families every day, providing clinical outpatient care, partial hospitalization treatment, and even care at inpatient and residential levels. We also offer both virtual and in-person group therapy.
Anne Walters, PhD: Hi, I'm Dr. Anne Walters, a Child and Adolescent Psychologist from Bradley Hospital. We are excited to share some of our expertise in our new podcast, MindCast, Healthy Mind, Healthy Child.
