Dr. Steven Levy transitioned into life science and healthcare business development following 18 years in the practice of ophthalmology. Located in Connecticut, he serves as the CEO of the newly formed thought imaging company Millennium Magnetic Technologies, LLC.
He serves as President of the Acoma Group which provides business development and executive search services for bio-pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare companies globally. He is also President of MD Stem Cells, a leading provider of adult stem cell patient facilitation services for various diseases including those affecting the eye and through that position acts as Director for the NIH registered clinical study SCOTS- Stem Cell Ophthalmology Treatment Study. He is CEO of an emerging neuroimaging company called Millennium Magnetic Technologies.
Dr. Levy is an adjunct professor at Norwalk Community College. He has served as Chief Medical Officer for Impose Technologies, a prominent Health Information Technology, DICOM & PACS provider and is a consultant with Gerson-Lehrman, providing advice within the clinical and life sciences. Gerald M. Lemole, M.D., was appointed Medical Director of Christiania Care's Preventive Medicine and Rehabilitation Institute and Center for Integrative Health in January, 2007 thru June 2010. Prior to his appointment as Medical Director, Dr. Lemole was Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Medical Center of Delaware since 1986 when he performed the first open heart operation in the state of Delaware. In 2006, Dr. Lemole was appointed the first W. L. Samuel Carpenter III Distinguished Chair of Cardiovascular Surgery, Christiana Care Health System.
Dr. Lemole received his undergraduate degree from Villanova University in Philadelphia in 1958 and his doctor of medicine degree from Temple University School of Medicine in 1962 He completed his residency in general surgery at Temple University Hospital in 1967 and went on to cardiac surgical training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, from 1967 to 1969. In 1968 he was a member of the surgical team that performed the first successful heart transplant in the United States. At Baylor, Dr. Lemole became certified by the American Board of Surgery and served as an instructor in surgery. In 1970 he became certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. In 2012 Dr. Lemole became certified by the American Board of Integrative Medicine. In 2015, Dr. Lemole passed advanced board certification by the American Board of Integrative Medicine (ABoIM) now under The American Board of Physician Specialties.
Dr. Lemole returned to Philadelphia from Texas in 1969. That same year he performed the first coronary bypass in the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. At age 32, he was named Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Temple University. He was concomitantly Chief of Surgery at Deborah Heart & Lung Center, Brown Mills, New Jersey, from 1972 to 1984. In 1975, at age 38, he became a full professor at Temple, an achievement that also made him one of the youngest full professors of surgery in the United States. In 1982, while visiting Turkey, Dr. Lemole performed the nation's first successful coronary artery bypass procedure. He is presently full Professor of Surgery at Temple University and Thomas Jefferson Medical College.
Dr. Lemole has written over 150 articles, book chapters and editorials for professional publications. Dr. Lemole has been a visiting professor at the Universities of Dublin and Istanbul, the Royal College of Surgeons-IRE, Chinese Military Medical Universities in Shanghai, Xian, and Shen Yeng, the Military Medical College of Ankara, Turkey, Fengtai Heart Institute, Beijing, China, and Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital, and has lectured at many other medical centers and universities in the United States and around the world. He is listed in the publication, Who's Who in the United States and Marguis' Who's Who Directory of Medical Specialists.
Dr. Lemole has written several books on Integrative Medicine, including most recently, FACING FACIAL PAIN for the Trigeminal Neuralgia Association, THE HEALING DIET, published by William Morrow, and AN INTEGRATIVE APPROACH TO CARDIAC CARE for Medtronic (and a second edition for St. Jude Medical). - Length (mins) 10

Jim Quirk began his eye banking career as the Technical Operations Manager at the Medical Eye Bank of Delaware which subsequently merged with Lions Eye Bank of Delaware Valley (LEBDV). During his time at LEBDV, Mr. Quirk he held the positions of Quality Assurance Director, Serology Lab Supervisor, Executive Vice President and is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Quirk has extensive community involvement in support of transplantation. He was appointed by Delaware’s Governor to serve as Co-Chairman on the state’s Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness Board. He is also an appointed member of the Pennsylvania Organ Donation Advisory Committee to the Governor. As a member of New Jersey’s Coalition on Donation, he works closely on initiatives with Coalition members which include representatives from an eye banks, tissue banks, OPOs, government and the State’s hospital association.
