In addition to seeing children and youth with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities in the clinical setting, Dr. Hyman is the co-Principal Investigator of the Rochester site of the Autism Speaks- Autism Treatment Network. Her research has focused on medical problems of children wth ASD related to feeding behavior, nutrition, and sleep as well as interventions used for symptoms of autism. She is the chair of the Autism Subcommittee of the Council on Children with Disabilities of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Susan L. Hyman, MD, FAAP is a Professor of Pediatrics and Division Chief of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at the Golisano Children's Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
