He completed his fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio before returning to the University of South Alabama, where he was Chief of Pediatric Gastroenterology at USA Children's and Women's Hospital. He became Professor and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 2004 before returning to the University of South Alabama in 2012. Dr. Gremse is active in the AAP, having served as President of the Nevada Chapter and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Section on Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. Dr. Gremse has received numerous professional awards and honors including America's Top Pediatricians, Best Doctors of America, and Who's Who in America.
