The Wandering Autistic Child

Nearly half of children with an ASD elope, and more than half of these “go missing.”  When parents whose children have eloped, 43 percent said the issue had prevented family members from getting a good night’s sleep, and 62
percent said their concerns had prevented family from attending or enjoying activities outside the home. 

Interventions are needed to help parents with children that suffer from this scary impact on children and families.
