Teething and Early Oral Health for Babies & Toddlers

Teething usually starts between four and seven months.

The two front teeth (central incisors, either upper or lower) usually appear first, followed by the opposite front teeth.

The first molars come in next, followed by the canines or eyeteeth.

The best way to protect your child’s teeth is to teach them good dental habits.

With the proper coaching, they’ll quickly adopt good oral hygiene as a part of their daily routine.

Listen in as David Krol, MD, discusses your child's early teething habits and their early oral care.
