Contact Lens Safety: How to Properly Wear & Care

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has named August 24-28, 2015, as contact lens health week.

Health officials are advocating the importance of creating healthy habits for healthy eyes.

According to the CDC, there are more than 30 million people in the U.S. who wear contacts. Ten percent of contact lens wearers are under 18, 15 percent are between the ages of 18-24, 50 percent are between 25-44, and 25 percent are 45 or older.

He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry, and he received his Master's and PhD degrees from The Ohio State University College of Optometry.

He is the Study Chair of a National Eye Institute-sponsored randomized clinical trial to investigate the myopia control effects of soft multifocal contact lenses.
