Being tempted by holiday cookies, hearty dinners, and alcohol can make it hard to stay on track with losing weight or eating healthy.
Instead of caving in to these indulgences, there are some swaps you can make in order to eat healthy while still enjoying the holidays.
What are some health tips to make it through the holidays?
Eat this:
- Pumpkin seeds
- Baked apples
- Holiday "mocktails"
- Roasted root veggies
Pass on this:
- Eggnog
- Dark turkey meat
- Fried foods
- Meat plates
Remember, should temptation take over, don't beat yourself up. Start fresh the next morning with new goals in mind, and turn to an expert (like a health coach) if you need a jump start or a little extra support.
