Detox the Toxic People in Your Life

"Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great." – Thank you, Mark Twain.

Toxic people cause a cascading effect of negativity in your both your professional and personal lives. They dump their problems on you, kick you while you are down and aren't supportive when you are in need.

How do you deal with these people in your life? Do you know when it is time to let go of someone? and if you are unable to just let go, how do you cope with the toxicity?

A survey conducted by TODAY.com showed that 84 percent of women have a friend who's toxic, and is found at the workplace. Toxic co-workers can distract you from doing your job well and from enjoying your job.

In another survey conducted by Today Health, over 80 percent of women surveyed admitted to remaining in a unhealthy friendship, primarily because it seemed too difficult to end it.
