5 Fats You Should Eat to Lose Weight

The F-word is frowned upon... no not THAT F-word. We're talking about Fat.

Well, guess what? It turns out that fat isn't always the enemy.

When trying to lose weight, you probably avoid fats and focus on clean and lean eating. But in doing so you have only gotten part of the equation right, causing your efforts to potentially be counterproductive and actually keeping you from losing weight.

If you’re constantly feeding your body quick energy in the form of carbs, processed foods and sugars, it never taps into stored energy (fat) and as a result, fat accumulates in and on your body.

You may have assumed that fats are bad without understanding your body's need for it. You need a balanced array of nutrients in your diet, including fat. Good unsaturated fats are filled with vitamins and can help lower your risk for diseases. They are vital to your nervous system, increase energy, make you feel fuller longer, all while helping you lose weight.

So the next time you add an avocado to any meal, even though it is high in calories, you can do it with utmost confidence.
