Think Yourself Thin: Weight Loss is a Mental Game

Two major mental blockers to weight loss are patience and your attitude.

For instance, if you want to look slim and trim overnight and are crabby throughout the entire weight-loss process, it will probably be an uphill battle.

Yes, having the right attitude can help you think yourself thin.

If you want to succeed at weight loss, you need to "cut the mental fat, and that will lead to cutting the waistline fat," says Dr. Pam Peeke.

Maaria Mozaffar, who is a mother of three kids, was able to lose 50 pounds after giving birth to twins AND she kept it off. Everyone knows that weight loss is a two-part battle: losing the weight, then keeping it off.

Mozaffar knew that if she was physically fit then she would be emotionally fit. Instead of constantly feeling tired and exhausted, she was on a mission be able to enjoy motherhood and every other aspect of life to its fullest.

If you pinpoint the unhealthy habits and patterns that are largely contributing to the failure of your weight loss efforts, you can change those patterns to become successful. Maaria was able to start developing allies and enemies at the grocery store. The "good" foods, which transitioned from enemies to allies, became the foods she craved and enjoyed. Who would have thunk it!

Tune in as Maaria helps you win the mental game of weight loss.
