At the Gym: Watch Out for Colds & Flu

You're at the gym to get and stay healthy; but you could be making yourself susceptible to colds and flu.
You go to the gym to get -- and stay -- healthy.

But, it turns out your fitness club has a dirty little secret. Bugs that cause colds and flu, athlete’s foot and skin infections are everywhere.

Sweat flying off fellow patrons, dirty shower floors and unsanitary equipment can all contribute to you developing a cold and/or the flu.

While many gyms try to keep a clean facility, it's up to you to take precautions, such as sanitation wipes and shower shoes, to help keep yourself healthy.

Listen in as Grace DeSimone and Melanie Cole, MS, discuss great ways to help keep you healthy at the gym.
