Struggling to Keep Your New Year's Resolutions?

Did you know that only 8% of people actually stick to their New Year's resolutions throughout the entire year?
Did you know that only eight percent of people actually stick to their New Year's Resolutions throughout the entire year?

That's a disappointing statistic, to say the least.

Many people vow to "get in shape," or "lose 10 pounds," but after a few weeks fall off that exercise/diet wagon. Most often these people still want to reach their goal, but time constraints, financial considerations or lack of knowledge often get in the way. Going to the gym when you don't really know how to use the equipment or feel intimidated by other members can put a quick stop to your intentions.

Not only that, but fitness -- successful fitness -- incorporates more than just your body. Your mind and soul also play a big part. If you're not tuned in to that, you might not be as victorious.

What if you're short on time? Are there quick things you can do while you're at work or running errands?

Take a five minute break at work, just to run in place. Or, while out and about town getting groceries, at Target, or picking your kids up from school, sprint to and from the car.

But, the reality of it is, if your goal is to lose weight, you need to get in your exercise and watch your diet.

So... are you going to be one of the eight that keeps your promise to do better this year? Or, will you once again have trouble keeping those resolutions in check?

Join fitness expert, Ashanti Johnson, as she shares simple tips and helpful advice to ensure you stay on top of your New Year's resolutions this year.

  • Guest Bio: Fitness expert and founder of 360.Mind.Body.Soul, Ashanti Johnson, battled weight gain throughout her teens and 20s. She discovered that no matter how healthy she ate, or how much she exercised, the pounds were not falling off easily.

After a careful look at her lifestyle, she realized that her weight gain was a direct side effect of her stress level. As a single working mother, her plate was beyond full. She was juggling too much, not getting enough sleep and it was all showing itself through her body. With this in mind, she set different goals for herself and in no time, started losing weight. With this new found lifestyle, Ashanti founded 360 MBS, a place where women from all walks of life could come together, de-stress while enjoying fun fitness classes, partaking in healthy living workshops/activities to ensure that no matter what their goals are for weight loss, they are relaxing their MIND, pampering their BODY and nourishing their SOUL.
