With the holidays just behind you, and New Year's Resolutions in full swing, you might have a desire to reduce the amount of sweets you eat. Those holiday treats can do quite the number on your waistline.
But, it's also important to think about sugar in terms of what it does to your body overall; not just from a weight gain perspective.
The problem is, many people take the wrong attitude. When you cut out sugar, you may feel "cheated" or deprived.
What are some steps you can take to wean yourself off sugar, without feeling this way?
Going raw can change your viewpoint of food, mostly because foods in their raw form are naturally quite sweet. It doesn't make you feel like you've lost anything in your life.
You also need to truly feed your body. Once you provide your system with the "good" food that keeps your body fueled, you're going to stop craving sugar.
A smart way to start is to fuel yourself with essential nutrients right away in the morning; things like fatty acids and vitamins gained through fruits and vegetables.
Literally take to heart the famous saying, "Eat breakfast like a King, lunch like a Queen and dinner like a Pauper."
Eliminating sugar is not something you're going to accomplish overnight. But when you get to that point, you'll start to see amazing changes to your body... more energy and a rejuvenation and regeneration of your whole self.
Tune in as Carol Alt joins Andrea and Lisa to share how she eliminated sugar from her life, as well as tips so you can do the same.
