When Michelle S. Fondin was diagnosed with thyroid cancer at 28, she took the bull by the horns immediately.
Michelle needed to find out just exactly what caused her cancer? If she didn't find the answer to that question, she knew she would get sick again.
And that's when she began to learn about Ayurveda and its healing properties.
Ayurveda takes you to the root cause of your health problem.
Alternatively, Western medicine is more about "fixing" things and getting rid of the symptoms.
At that root, you have to address your emotional, spiritual and mental health (including relationships) in order to understand and heal your physical health. Remember, you store your emotions in your physical body.
In Ayurveda, there are three mind-body types, which work with five elements: space, air, fire, water, and earth.
These mind-body types, or doshas, are Vata, Pitta, Kapha.
Once you know which type you identify with most, it will help you detect imbalances, as well as strengths and weaknesses. Then, you can balance your mind, body and spirit.
Listen in as Michelle explains more about Ayurveda, as well as how it helped her get through her cancer diagnosis and treatment.
