After receiving her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1971, Eleanor recognized her talents as psychic intuitive and began integrating spirituality and holistic principles into her work. As a divorced mother of two young children, Eleanor was guided first to move from Chicago and then travel to India where she met her soulmate, Dr. Marvin Portner, a holistic medical doctor who lived less than a mile from where Eleanor had relocated.
