She wasn't necessarily suffering from an eating disorder, but she also didn't have the nutritional knowledge on how to keep that physique and still be able to eat food. No one was teaching models how to eat properly.
Has that changed at all?
Young women are still very, very thin and many of them are damaging their health to maintain that size. Plus, the increasingly small size of models sets an example for the industry.
Yes, some girls are naturally thin. But many are also using unhealthy tactics to achieve the "model thin" look.
