Skin Spring Cleaning

Spring is well in hand. You’ve cleaned your home and your closet. Now it’s time to spring clean your skin.

Your morning routine should include the following:

  • Cleansing with a gentle cleanser that contains antioxidants and is appropriate for skin type
  • Toning with a brightening agent to clear up brown spots
  • Treatment (if you have a skin condition that requires treatment, usually a prescription)
  • Moisturizing for skin type
  • Sunscreen application with SPF above 45
Your nighttime routine should include the following:

  • Cleansing with a gentle cleanser that contains antioxidants and is appropriate for skin type
  • Toning with a brightening agent to clear up brown spots
  • Treatment for wrinkles
  • Moisturizing for skin type
Consider getting laser or resurfacing treatment to clean up any sun damage.

Your skin changes as you age so you may need to make adjustments. This doesn’t mean to mix things up on a monthly basis, just when you notice changes.

Listen as Dr. Jody Levine joins Dr. Pamela Peeke to discuss how to spring clean your skin and how to develop a skin care routine.
