Working from Home Due to COVID-19? Why Your Posture Needs Attention

Working from home used to be thought of somewhat of a "luxury." No commute, casual attire. Perhaps a furry friend to keep you company throughout the day.

In today's COVID-19 world, remote working has become a necessity for many. For those who aren't used to working remotely, and even those who are, there are certain factors to consider.

For example, posture. Sitting on a comfy couch with your laptop or snuggled up in bed while fielding emails sounds nice, but your back and neck might be screaming the next day. Not to mention the respiratory implications of being hunched over, which is especially concerning considering COVID-19 impacts the respiratory system.

Andrew S. Vetter, MS, ACSM, has been studying posture for years. He joins Dr. Peeke to explain why proper posture is so critical now and anytime throughout one's lifetime. He also shares information on breakthrough wearable technology helping individuals to maintain good posture.
