Dr. Bilek is a physical therapist and exercise researcher with a focus
on chronic disease prevention.  Her current projects are focused on
bone health with a specific emphasis on post-menopausal women.  She
has industry and National Institutes of Health grant funding for her
research.
 
She is Chair of the Medical Sciences Interdepartmental Areas graduate
program (MSIA) and Associate Dean for Research in the College of
Allied Health Professions at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Additionally, she is a clinical advisor for Bone Health Technologies.
