Sheethal D. Reddy, PhD

Dr. Reddy is a licensed psychologist in the Emory School of Medicine. She is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Surgery and Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. She received her PhD in clinical psychology from Kent State University after completing a behavioral medicine pre-doctoral internship at Duke University Medical Center. Her post-doctoral fellowship at Emory University focused on young adult mental health, body image and eating disorders. Dr. Reddy specializes in cognitive-behavioral interventions for lifestyle change and pre- and post-surgical interventions to support weight loss surgery success. She has a personal and professional interest in mindfulness-based treatments. She is currently working towards certification as a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher.
