Brian Matthys, D.O.

Dr. Brian Matthys is a board-certified Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon specializing in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He earned his B.A. in Human Biology from the University of Kansas and his D.O. from Des Moines University, completing his residency in dermatology at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital through Ohio University.

A past president of the Kansas City Dermatologic Society, Dr. Matthys is a member of the AOCD, AAD, ASP, and ASMS. He has contributed to numerous dermatology publications, clinical trials and authored a children’s book titled Dermboy Saves Vacation.

He is also the founder of eclipseRx, a health technology company developing technology focused on smart sun lifestyle behaviors to improve skin wellness and aging. BURŪV, an Apple Watch-compatible smart band, is now available.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Matthys enjoys life with his wife, Dr. Menser, and their three children. He loves vintage cars, travel, and playing guitar.
