Michael Roizen, M.D., is chief wellness officer and chair of the Wellness Institute of the Cleveland Clinic. He is the creator of the RealAge Test, as well as co-founder and chairman of the RealAge Scientific Advisory Board. Along with Dr. Mehmet Oz, Dr. Roizen authored The New York Times No. 1 best-sellers “YOU: On a Diet” and “YOU: The Owner’s Manual,” as well as The New York Times best-seller “YOU: The Smart Patient.” He has published more than 165 peer-reviewed scientific papers, 100 textbook chapters, 30 editorials  and four medical books and has edited six medical journals. He also has received 12 U.S. patents and many foreign patents. His first general audience book, RealAge: Are You as Young as You Can Be? became a No.1 New York Times best-seller and has been translated into more than 20 languages. Dr. Roizen’s follow-up books include The New York Times best-seller “The RealAge Diet: Make Yourself Younger with What You Eat” and “Cooking the RealAge Way,” written with Dr. John La Puma, and “The RealAge Makeover.” Dr. Roizen is a graduate of Williams College and of the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Anesthesiology, he has chaired the Division of Anesthesiology, Critical Care Medicine and Comprehensive Pain Management at the Cleveland Clinic in addition to his role there as chief wellness officer and chair of the Wellness Institute. He has served as chairman of the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care at the University of Chicago and faculty member at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Mike, as he is affectionately known, makes frequent appearances on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “The Today Show,” “20/20,” CBN, CNN, CBS, “Good Morning America,” “Canada AM” and PBS. He has been featured in magazines including Fortune, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, Ladies’ Home Journal, Biography, Men’s Health and Prevention. He hosts a radio show, called “YOU: The Owner’s Manual Radio Show,” broadcast by 26 stations in the U.S. and serves as Dr. Oz’s co-star on XM Satellite Radio’s “Oprah & Friends.”

Mehmet Oz, M.D., is professor and vice chairman of surgery at Columbia University, as well as medical director of the Integrated Medicine Center and director of the Heart Institute at New York Presbyterian/Columbia Medical Center. His research interests include heart replacement surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, complementary medicine and health care policy. He has authored more than 400 original publications, book chapters, abstracts and books, and has received several patents. Dr. Oz is the co-author of The New York Times No. 1 best-sellers “YOU: On a Diet” and “YOU: The Owner’s Manual,” as well as The New York Times best-seller “YOU: The Smart Patient” and “YOU: Staying Young,” with Dr. Roizen. Dr. Oz is also a member of the RealAge Scientific Advisory Board and key medical adviser for the RealAge Test, the first standard of measurement for overall health and wellness.

Dr. Oz received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University, his M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and MBA from Wharton School of Business. In his New York practice, Dr. Oz has seen success treating patients with a combination of cutting-edge Western techniques and alternative Eastern therapies such as meditation, massage and yoga.
