Around 39 million Americans, about 1 in 7 people, suffer from migraines. However, that number could be higher because many people struggle to know how to discuss their symptoms with their physician.

Dr. Valerie Staples is a family medicine physician with Central Baldwin Physicians, located in Robertsdale, AL. As a family medicine physician, she cares for the entire family from newborns to seniors. Dr. Staples provides a broad range of acute, chronic and preventative medical care services. Including diagnosing and treating illness, routine checkups and healthy lifestyle management. Additionally, Dr. Staples has experience in the diagnosis and treatment of headache achieving certification in headache medicine by the National Headache Foundation.
Dr. Staples is a graduate of Columbus State University with a bachelor of science in biology. She earned her degree in osteopathic medicine from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Auburn, Ala. She has worked with the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association in Atlanta, Ga. as the director of doula programs overseeing the development of curriculum for doula certifications. Additionally, she volunteered for 14 years with Operation Special Delivery providing doula support to partners who are expecting babies while their partners are deployed.
