Carol Alt: Sweet Treats that Are Healthy Too

There's more to raw food than just carrot sticks.
People think that "raw food" means things like carrots or celery; certainly NOT sweet treats like cake or ice cream. But, there are plenty of raw options for sweets and desserts, many of which you can make in your own kitchen.

When going raw, oftentimes people try one thing, and if they don't like it, they give up right away without trying anything else.

That's a huge mistake, because there are endless options for breakfast, lunch, dinners... plus snacks, desserts and even drinks.

There are a number of ingredients you can use and play with that are truly flavorful and still extremely healthy. In essence, you could eat raw cake for dinner and it still might be far better and more nutritious for you than some of the cooked, processed foods you eat every day.

Listen in Carol Alt shares her raw food expertise -- especially when it comes to sweet treats -- as well as some of the myths surrounding raw foods.
