August is National Immunization Awareness Month.

The Pediatricians and Family Medicine physicians of MemorialCare Medical Group endorse the immunization recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Every child who can be immunized should receive the full complement of vaccinations on the recommended schedule.

There are 14 dangerous diseases, some potentially deadly, that can be prevented by immunizing our children.

Mountains of reliable, independent studies show that vaccines are safe and do not lead to behavioral, mental or physical anomalies.

Dr. Linh Nguyen is a pediatrician at MemorialCare Medical Group’s primary care office on Bellflower Boulevard in Long Beach, California. She went to medical school at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency at the University of California Irvine Medical Center.
