David W. Ross, DO, FACEP, graduated from the Western University of the Health Sciences’ College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in 1982. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine/Charity Hospital in New Orleans, as well as a fellowship in hyperbaric medicine.
He has been an emergency physician in Colorado Springs, CO, with the Penrose/St. Francis Healthcare System since 1992. He serves as medical director for a wide variety of EMS and fire agencies located from the Kansas border to the mountain communities of Colorado.
Dr. Ross is very active participant in state-wide Colorado trauma center and EMS activities. He has been a member of the State EMS and Trauma Advisory Council (SEMTAC) for about six years and has participated in a large number of SEMTAC subcommittees and task forces. He is a former president of the Colorado Chapter of American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). He is also the former Chair of national ACEP’s Public Relations Committee. - Length (mins): 10
