Acid Reflux: Natural Remedies to Ease Your Morning Burn

If you've ever experienced acid reflux, you know that it is not only painful, but that it can also get in the way of your everyday life.

Acid reflux occurs when food or liquid contents in your stomach leak back up from your stomach into your esophagus, causing heartburn and other uncomfortable symptoms.

What could be causing your acid reflux in the morning and throughout the day?

Usually if you feel acid reflux coming on, you might blame the acidic food you're eating (which could  partially be true) and take an acid blocker to ease those heartburn symptoms.

However, even though it may seem like acid blockers are the only option, there might be a better approach to ease your digestion so you can go about your morning, heartburn free.

After you eat, your organs work to break down the food and turn the nutrients into energy. The first place your food goes is your stomach, where the acid needs to break the food down so it can continue through your digestive tract. After about an hour, depending on how well your food was digested, your food will be passed on to your small intestine.

If you're on an acid blocker, the stomach acid your body needs to break down your food is no longer present, which causes the acid to come back up.

Is there another solution to help ease your acid reflux without having to take acid blockers?

There is a three-part solution that you can utilize to help your digestive tract get back on tract. The first step is to take plant-based digestive enzymes, which will help your stomach digest your food much easier. The second step is taking your time while you eat. Taking a few small bites and chewing your food all the way through will help you from inhaling your food and causing an upset, acidic stomach. Lastly, increase your stomach acid naturally. You can do this by drinking all natural colas, using vinegar-based salad dressings, and by drinking mineral water.

What else can you do to help ease your morning and afternoon acid reflux?
