4 Tips for Glorious & Gorgeous Skin

Your skin is one of the most important organs of your body.

It protects and shields your internal organs, helps regulate your body temperature, and allows you to experience one of the most important and sensational forms of communication: touch.

Your skin can go through a lot of wear and tear throughout the years and requires a lot of attention in order for it to remain healthy. Whether you try to fight it or fix it, your skin also naturally changes as you get older.

However, depending on the way your skin looks and feels (acne, oily, dry, etc.), it can be a direct reflection of something going haywire inside your body.

What are four things that could be an underline cause of your skin problems?

Potential root causes to your skin problems include the environment, your hormone balance, your digestion, and detoxification.

You may be aware of the harmful effects smoking and sun damage have on your skin, but there are other toxins in your environment you should be aware of. Chemicals and toxins in the air, water, food and personal products can lead to oxidative harm and can cause skin damage.

At different parts of your life, your hormones are likely to fluctuate. When your hormones are out of balance, you might be more likely to develop dry skin, wrinkles and acne. Hormones that are perpetually off kilter can also contribute to fatigue and stress, which can cause your skin to suffer.

Certain foods also can set your skin off. If you're eating unhealthy foods, or something your body is not agreeing with, it can cause an inflammatory response in your body and cause a disturbance in your skin.

Like stated before, chemicals that are in your food, air and water supply could be causing you to have an overexposure to toxins. This can cause your liver and kidneys to feel overwhelmed, resulting in your skin to break out, become dry or oily and other skin disorders.
