Bob Gerhardt, MD, MPH, is the Director of the Prehospital and Emergency Care Research Program, and is the chief medical officer for the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Research Task Area at the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research (ISR). He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, and Adjunct Associate Professor of Military and Emergency Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (UHUHS). His Doctor of Medicine, Master of Public Health, and Bachelor of Arts degrees are from the University of Miami, Florida. He completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, Texas, and an Emergency Medical Services Fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Gerhardt has published and presented extensively on topics including trauma resuscitation, EMS, TCCC, emerging technologies, research design, ethical issues in combat research, and the building of civil-military research partnerships. He has lectured and served as an expert consultant both nationally and internationally, including venues such as the National Institutes of Health, the Texas Governor’s Emergency and Trauma Advisory Council, the American College of Emergency Physicians, the U.S. Department of Defense, Office of The Army Surgeon General, the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command, NASA, Royal Army Medical Corps – United Kingdom, the Iraqi Ministry of Health, the Israel Defense Forces, NATO, Royal Norwegian Maritime Special Operations Forces, CBS News / 60 Minutes, ABC News and WGBH Radio. - Length (mins) 10

As head of the Baltimore Child Abuse Center, Adam Rosenberg brings together his passion for community development and his background in not for profit management and law to wage a battle against child sexual abuse. Mr. Rosenberg was the first male prosecutor in the Domestic Violence Unit of the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office, and later prosecuted hundreds of cases involving sex offenders, predators, child pornographers, and violent abusers as a member of the Sex Offense Unit. He became Executive Director of Baltimore Child Abuse Center in 2008, reinvigorating the 25 year old agency with renewed mission and purpose. In 2009, Mr. Rosenberg was appointed to the Governor’s State Council on Child Abuse and Neglect. He is Vice President of the Maryland Children’s Alliance, served on Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake’s transition committee, and is a graduate of the Greater Baltimore Committee’s 2010 class.
A graduate of Cornell University and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Mr. Rosenberg frequently lectures, conducts audits, and runs workshops for youth serving institutions on recognizing, responding to, and the importance of reporting sexual child abuse as well as child advocacy center development, non-profit board development, and social networking. - Length (mins) 10

David W. Ross, DO FACEP graduated from the Western University of the Health Sciences’ College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in 1982. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine/Charity Hospital in New Orleans, as well as a fellowship in hyperbaric medicine.
He has been an emergency physician in Colorado Springs CO with the Penrose/St. Francis Healthcare System since 1992. He serves as medical director for a wide variety of EMS and fire agencies located from the Kansas border to the mountain communities of Colorado.
Dr. Ross is very active participant in state-wide Colorado trauma center and EMS activities. He is a member of the State EMS and Trauma Advisory Council (SEMTAC) for about six years and has participated in a large number of SEMTAC subcommittees and task forces.
