Annie Jorgensen recently participated in the Diabetes Empowerment Education Program and Diabetes Grocery Store Tour and is so grateful to Ridgecrest Regional Hospital for providing these programs.
Elena Ennis has been the Diabetes Facilitator at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital since June 2021. She is certified as a Peer Educator for the Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP), which is a diabetes self-management curriculum created by the University of Illinois, Chicago. She was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2014 and has participated in over 10 clinical trials for various diabetes devices. Elena loves to knit and crochet in her spare time, and is sure that the California desert is the most beautiful place in the world.
