Jeremy Bauer, M.D. (Guest): One of the reasons why I love working for the Shriners Hospital for Children Portland is the care that we can provide the child, and they're not rushed through the process. Hello, I am Dr. Jeremy Bauer. I'm a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, and I specialize in the care of children with cerebral palsy, hip disorders, and sports injuries.

One of things I love best about working at the Shriners Hospital for Children is their commitment to care for children regardless of their ability to pay as well as the commitment to education of residents and fellows in the hospital. One thing you don’t know about me is I love to do photography. I've been published in a couple magazines. Mostly landscape photography.

I’d really love people to know my philosophy of care. I love integrating the family and the patient in making their decisions, making sure that they’ve come to make the right decision for their child, and that the child also feels engaged and empowered to make the right decision for them. I get to do that at a great place where they're surrounded by physical therapists, orthotist, and a whole wrap around care that helps them make the right decision.
