Dr. Ellen Raney: I came to Shriners because the whole hospital was dedicated to the orthopedic care of children. Hello, I’m Dr. Ellen Raney. I am a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon at Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, Oregon. My specialty is treating children’s lower extremity problems and movement disorders and gait studies and clubbed feet, bone and joint problems and they way they move and the way they grow; all things related to the lower extremity in children. Fun fact about me is that when I’m not doing orthopedics, I love doing anything outdoors, especially on the water. My philosophy of care is that I believe in the potential of every child and every family and it’s just so wonderful to be here to be a part of watching them develop that potential.
