Kelly Kavanaugh, MBA | Kristen Bowser, BS, MA, APR
Kelly Kavanaugh, MBA started in 2010 at Dayton Children's as the director of marketing. In that time, she developed materials to communicate Destination 2020, Dayton Children's strategic road map for the future. She has been instrumental in communicating key components of that plan, some of which include a $162 million dollar campus renewal and the building of a new eight-story patient tower. Since becoming vice president, Kelly was instrumental in leading the efforts to change a 42-year-old logo and brand for the hospital. Kelly has two children, Madison and James, and is a huge Buckeyes fan.

Kristen Bowser is responsible for all aspects of corporate internal communications aimed at building Dayton Children’s internal brand and employee engagement. She oversees all internal communication forums including organization huddles for leadership, Focus (the intranet), GPS (town halls), Compass (employee magazine) and staff monitors. She provides guidance for communicating strategic direction, key program changes and new hire orientation and onboarding. Kristen leads all efforts to ensure coordinated and cascaded communication to drive organizational alignment, working directly with the CEO, the chief strategy officer and chief experience officer.
