Jason Rounds: Hello, everyone. Welcome to this episode of our Compass Podcast, a podcast designed just for you. I am Jason Rounds and I am so honored to join you this year during Hospital Week to celebrate you, our caregivers, in all that you do to support each other, our patients and our community.
This organization has a long history of serving the community, and each of you plays a vital role in that history. I would like to take this time to acknowledge the incredible work that all of you have done over the past year. You demonstrate incredible courage and dedication to our patients and our community. Your tireless efforts, your selflessness, your commitment to health and wellbeing of this community are what we are celebrating.
This week is about reflecting on those selfless acts of love and kindness that you have shown. Your compassion and expertise have saved countless lives, and your courage in the face of many challenges inspires us all. As a community-owned hospital, you are the backbone of our system, and we cannot do what we do without you. You are vital to our mission.
This week, we are celebrating the hours, days, months, and years you have dedicated to serving our community as caregivers at San Juan Regional Medical Center. I'm excited to join in the celebrations during the week and celebrate your significant milestones, whether you've been in the hospital family for less than one year or more than 45 years. Hospital Week activities include department celebrations for the 193 of you who are celebrating milestone years of service from five to 45 years; an education breakfast, honoring those who have earned a certificate or degree; and the Brick Ceremony, honoring caregivers celebrating 30, 35 and 45 years of service.
So, thank you for being a caregiver. Thank you for all you have done for San Juan Regional Medical Center and for all you'll continue to do as you live the core values of our organization. Each of you makes a difference in the lives of others, creating better lives for each other and your patients.
