website coordinator for San Juan Regional Medical Center, and I work in the
marketing and communications department. In this Compass podcast, I want to
talk about something that is important to our organization, our employee intranet.

Our intranet is more than just a platform for checking
emails or browsing the café menu. It is a powerful resource and one-stop shop
for information that was created just for you based on your feedback. I'm proud
to say that we average over 100,000 page views a month, which shows how
valuable this tool is to our employees.

The intranet serves as a central hub where you can access
important documents, company policies and procedures, news and more. You can
find department-specific information such as contact information and updates,
making it easier to stay up-to-date, but it doesn't stop there. Our intranet
offers much more, and let me highlight some of its key features.

First on the main page, we have the homepage news where you
will find important organization information and news. This section keeps you
informed about the latest updates, announcements, and events happening within
our organization. It's your go-to source for staying in the loop. Next, on the
left side, we have my links, which gives you easy access to important sites,
whether you need to access specific policies, online tools, submit a work order
or register for a class, you can find them all in one place. It saves you time
and effort in searching for the right links. We also have a section on the
right side called Spotlight, where we feature reminders about upcoming events.
It's a convenient way to see what events are coming up, classes and
professional development opportunities. Additionally, you can find resources
like the Compass Podcast and taking action on your feedback in this section.

Now, I want to take a moment to acknowledge all the
individuals who contribute to making our intranet a success. From the managers
who help update their department's pages to those designated individuals who
actively contribute information, your efforts are greatly appreciated. The
intranet wouldn't be what it is without your dedication. Our employee intranet
is a testament to the power of collaboration and information sharing. It brings
us together as a team and enables us to work more efficiently. The easy access
to resources and information saves us time and ensures that we have the
information we need at our fingertips.
