Jacqueline Montoya: Hello, my name is Jacqueline Montoya, and today I am incredibly excited to shine a spotlight on a fantastic local resource, the San Juan College Harvest Food Hub and Kitchen. If you're a local farmer, food producer, or just someone who loves fresh local goods, you'll want to hear all about this. The San Juan College Harvest Food Hub is more than just a place.

It's a vital link in our local food system. Its primary mission is to empower local farmers and food producers right here in the Four Corners Region. They do this by helping you, the growers and makers sell your incredible goods to a wider audience. It's not just about sales. The Harvest Food Hub is deeply committed to the success of our local agriculture and food entrepreneur community.

That's why they also offer invaluable mentorship for your business. Whether you're just starting out, looking to scale up, or need guidance on navigating the marketplace, the Harvest Food Hub is there to support you every step of the way. Imagine having experienced folks in your corner offering advice on everything from marketing your produce to refining your business plan.

Some of the things that you can look forward to at the Harvest Food Hub now is our storefront, which is open Wednesday through Friday, three to 6:30 PM and on Saturdays 11 to three. What you can find there is a variety of fresh, locally sourced products and including produce, meats and grains. Another great program through the Harvest Food Hub Kitchen is our Farm Box program.

This year, we will run from July 24th through October 9th. Every box is locally sourced from farmers in our community, having seven to nine produce items for whatever's in season that week. You can look forward to things like squash, kale, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and so much more. We also provide recipes and a list of what each product is and what farm it came from, so you can get to know your local farmer even more.

The next big project that we're working on is renovations through the month of August. We'll be turning our small space into a renovated commercial kitchen where food entrepreneurs can come and manufacture their products to serve our community through our storefront or online sales and any market available, including the local growers markets.

We will also help entrepreneurs step by step through the process of getting their manufacturer's permit, their food handler's license, or any other permit or license that you would need to sell your products locally.

Don't forget to come down to the Harvest Food Hub this season and see all of the amazing products we have produced by our local food entrepreneurs. And again, that is Wednesday through Friday, 3:00 to 6:30 and Saturday 11 to 3. Can't wait to see you there. Thanks for your interest in listening.

Have a wonderful day.
