Colposcopy is a screening procedure that follows an abnormal pap smear. A special solution is applied to the cervix. A colposcope is used to see which areas turn white, indicating abnormal cells. A cervical biopsy may then be necessary.

Kim was most recently President of GlycoMark, Inc. a diagnostics subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho America and has a B.S. degree in Biology from St. Lawrence University.
