Host: This is the Summa Health Medical Minute. Today, we're with Karrie Boss, System Director of Evidence-Based Practice for Summa Health. Karrie, this week is National Nurses Week. What differentiates a Summa nurse from other nurses?

Karrie Boss: Here at Summa Health, our nurses are encouraged and supported in providing their input and expertise in how they deliver care to their patients. At Summa Health, we have the Center for Clinical Inquiry to support nurses and all staff in finding answers to their clinical questions. I believe Summa nurses deliver care beyond expectation. So, honoring them during Nurses Week and beyond is so very important. There will be a lot of activities to honor our team of nurses for serving with passion, advocating for their patients, and working collaboratively with the health care team as well as the patients and their families.

We are also excited to be showcasing how the Center for Clinical Inquiry has provided support to our nurses and staff in finding answers to their clinical questions while positively impacting patient outcomes.
