Michael Loiacono, DNP, AGPCNP-BC, CRNP
Michael Loiacono, DNP, AGPCNP-BC, CRNP, is an accomplished nurse practitioner specializing in geriatric care and primary care UM Upper Chesapeake Health. With over 13 years of nursing experience at UCH, primarily in the ICU and critical care settings, Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on expertise to the practice. He is a Harford County native who is deeply committed to advancing the health and well-being of the community he calls home.
Michael’s philosophy centers on patient education, collaboration and individualized care. He believes in empowering patients by teaching them about evidence-based guidelines and working together to develop achievable treatment plans tailored to their lifestyles. His detail-oriented approach enables him to identify small, impactful changes that can lead to significant health improvements.
In addition to his clinical work, Michael has been recognized with multiple honors, including the Culture of Excellence Award at UM Upper Chesapeake Health, the Resnick-Sollins Gerontological Nursing Scholarship and acceptance into the Supporting Nursing Advanced Practice Transitions (SNAPT) Fellowship within the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing program. Outside of medicine, he enjoys riding his motorcycle, caring for his dog Lucy, playing rugby and participating in various sports, reflecting his dedication to a balanced and active life.
